Fucking duh Lincoln Adim lied about his sexual misconduct charges???
In a statement released on Wednesday, Warner Bros. says The Bachelorette contestant was not forthcoming with information about his history of indecent assault and battery during casting. As we know now, the reality star was found guilty in May 2018 of groping and assaulting an adult female on a harbor cruise ship two years ago on May 30, 2016.
He is currently starring on Becca Kufrin‘s season of the ABC franchise.
The studio’s response to the conviction reads:
“No one on The Bachelorette production had any knowledge about the incident or charges when Lincoln Adim was cast, and he himself denied ever having engaged in or having been charged with any sexual misconduct. We employ a well-respected and highly experienced third party who has done thousands of background checks consistent with industry standards to do a nationwide background check in this case. The report we received did not reference any incident or charge relating to the recent conviction – or any other charges relating to sexual misconduct. We are currently investigating why the report did not contain this information, which we will share when we have it.”
Taking contestants at their word, especially when it comes to something as serious as sexual assault, is not only careless — it’s extremely unsafe for the lead and other members of the cast and crew. Proper background checks must be carried out in order to protect all parties.
We’re curious to see how this all plays out.
