Feel Old Yet? Mandy Moore Remembers 'A Walk to Remember' on the Movie's 15th Anniversary
Warner Bros.

15 years ago, A Walk to Remember became that movie. You know, the one you’d watch whenever you felt like curling up, sobbing uncontrollably, and mourning the loss of a fairytale romance. On Wednesday, the woman who made all those tears possible posted a tribute to the film that put her on the map.

Mandy Moore, who played leading lady Jamie Sullivan, was only 17 when AWtR hit theaters. Alongside Shane West’s Landon Carter, she won hearts across the world.

“In honor of the 15th anniversary of A Walk To Remember,” Moore wrote, “let’s take a walk down memory lane…<3 What are your favorite scenes? Any questions?”

Of the more than 8,000 responses, many fans had similar most memorable moments and life-changing scenes.

“My favorite scene in the movie was when he gifted her a new sweater and her dad comes out to lecture her about ‘boys that age’, and Mandy is so cool and says, ‘Dad, it’s just a sweater’! And they both learn that they are growing and accept each other:)” wrote user mayragrimaldophotography.

And of course the universal question was a common comment:

“If she didn’t had cancer,do you think they would have end up together and get married?”

Moore has yet to respond, but we’re inclined to believe they’d have been together forever. Forever and ever and ever, okay?
