Such great news!
Hillary Clinton has been leading the way in the Democratic primary and across all polls in general during the run for president thus far, and she just got a BIG boost to her candidacy with a very important — and historic — endorsement!
The former Secretary of State and First Lady received on Thursday night the endorsement of Planned Parenthood — which marks the first time EVER in their 100-year existence that PP has endorsed a candidate in a presidential primary!
Cecile Richards, the organization’s president, said in a statement:
“Let’s be clear — reproductive rights and health are on the ballot in 2016. We’re proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States. No other candidate in our nation’s history has demonstrated such a strong commitment to women or such a clear record on behalf of women’s health and rights. This is about so much more than Planned Parenthood. Health care for an entire generation is at stake.”
The organization followed things up with a tweet (below):
They are also planning on making a formal announcement this weekend in New Hampshire, where Clinton is campaigning.
Hill herself followed up, quick to note how important this election is for health care, reproductive rights, and women’s rights in America (below):
You go, Hillary!!!
Keep showing that out-of-touch GOP who’s the boss!
