Kate Middleton always manages to look chic. And we really do mean always. Even in London’s pouring rain, the Duchess of Cambridge never fails to put together a standout ensemble, wearing pieces that sell out almost instantly. But while Middleton’s style on her home turf in London is something we keep a close eye on, there’s something we quite like about following her outfits whenever she’s on a royal tour.

Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially kicked off their four-day trip to Sweden and Norway, attending a hockey event at an outdoor ice-skating rink in the center of Stockholm. Their first engagement of the tour required the two to bundle up in their best winter gear.

Middleton wrapped up in a shearling coat by Burberry and a sweater by Swedish designer Fjallraven, accessorizing with an adorable Eugenia Kim pompom beanie and a cashmere scarf. But we couldn’t help but zero in her on her choice of footwear. For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge chose the most stylish, practical, and affordable shoes: a pair of Sorel boots. Insanely durable and now officially Kate Middleton approved? We’ll take a pair!

Now, read on to see the look Kate Middleton wore on the first day of her royal trip to Sweden.
