Katy Perry revealed A LOT during her recent stop on Ellen!
First, talk centered around her new short platinum ‘do, which Katy described as “a little Ellen, a little Alfalfa,” and explained:
“I [cut] it about a month and some change ago…I don’t know if you’ve ever dyed your hair blonde, and too blonde. Sometimes your hair falls out when you go too blonde. So, this is the way I handled it.”
Then, Ellen brought up the popstar’s upcoming album, Witness, and her long hiatus prior to this release. Katy said:
“I did the Super Bowl a couple of years ago and I did a big tour for two years for the last record and I was tired. I’m human. A human needed a rest. So I took October to June off. And then I started writing a record in June of last year and I wrote over 40 songs, and now I have 15 beautiful songs to represent this story that I wanna share with the world.”
Later, talk turned to Katy’s ostentatious Met Gala gown. Ellen was particularly interested in knowing how Katy managed to use the restroom in it. The singer said:
“There was a lot of self control, practice, and GoGirls. Do you know those little contraptions that you then get to urinate standing up?”
“I’ve used them in several music videos because I always find myself in this predicament where I have a very extravagant, lavish, unrealistic, unpractical costume on. That’s just me, I guess…It’s just like a nozzle…you can put around you…anyway!”
Well, they sound inneresting, to say the least!
Katy also plays coy when asked about whether she’s going to be a judge on American Idol.
As for her tour, the 32-year-old is donating $1 from each tour ticket sold to The Boys and Girls Club! That’s awesome!
