The latest in the Keaton Jones saga.
In case you missed it, A-listers rushed to social media to defend the Tennessee student, who broke everyone’s hearts over the weekend when he detailed the bullying he faced at school in a viral video. There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the young middle schooler and his momma, Kimberly, as allegations of racism have overshadowed their empowering anti-bullying plea. Oof.
The principal of Keaton’s middle school, Gregory Clay, has now responded to the attention his school is receiving saying bullying isn’t as “rampant as the video would have you believe.”
He went on to say the incident happened prior to Friday, and the situation was handled internally:
“I can’t tell you what was done, but I can tell you action was taken with the children.”
Clay concluded by reassuring everyone that Keaton is in good hands at the school:
“We all sympathize with Keaton and we’re doing everything we can to make sure it never happens again. Everybody saw the video and it was horrible. We don’t want anyone to feel like that. Keaton’s a good kid. We’ll take care of him.”
Hopefully faculty will get more involved to stop bullying before it happens.
