Prepare yourself because the wrath of Paris Geller is about to make some serious waves. On Saturday, Liza Weil confirmed that she’s set to reprise her role as Rory Gilmore’s over-achieving best friend on Netflix’s highly anticipated Gilmore Girls revival.
“I start on Tuesday, which I really feel like bodes well that I get to start on a Tuesday being that we used to be on a Tuesday,” Weil told E! at the a TVfest in Atlanta. “Tuesday is my first day and I’m nervous!”
Weil, who currently plays Bonnie Winterbottom on ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder also revealed that she’ll only be in two of the four revival episodes. “It’s very emotional to read them,” she said of the script. “It’s like a really magical perfect time machine. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
Also confirmed to return to Stars Hollow are Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, as well as Scott Patterson (Luke), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), Keiko Agena (Lane), and Matt Czuchry (Logan). No word yet on whether Milo Ventimiglia’s Jess Mariano is down to make an appearance.
With Weil’s return, fans haves some brutally honest one-liners and disses to look forward to. Oh, and let’s hope there will be more dramatic, self-aggrandizing monologues like this in the revival:
Yaaaasssss! Welcome back, Paris. You’ve been missed.
