One of Hollywood’s all-time favorite red-heads tied the knot over the weekend, and this union was nothing short of regal.
The Zookeeper’s Wife star Jessica Chastain and long-time partner Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo exchanged vows at his family estate in Treviso, Italy slightly less than an hour north of Venice, on Saturday. Chastain, 40, and Preposulo, 34, invited close friends and family to a pre-party on Friday, hosting stars like Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, according to People.
The two have dated since 2012.
Preposulo has an interesting backstory, belonging to a centuries-established Italian family with noble roots dating back to the 1800s. His father, Count Alberto Passi de Preposulo, could pass his title to Gian Luca when he dies, which would technically render Chastain a countess.
The country of Italy, however, no longer recognizes the titles, so while it makes for a great introduction, they’re nothing but fun.
While Preposulo, a fashion exec for French-Italian brand Moncler, keeps his Instagram private, Chastain has shared a precious few heartfelt posts of the two throughout the years.
Buona fortuna, newlyweds!
