Curious, saddened, suspicious, or incensed: no matter your personal feelings on iconic singer Michael Jackson, you’ll have one more opportunity to get to know the late star very soon.
The first trailer for Lifetime’s Jackson biopic Searching for Neverland has been released, and from the looks of it, this one won’t be a light binge. The film will address Jackson’s heavy last years of life.
In the biopic, the king of pop is played by professional Jackson impersonator Navi. From an elusive insider’s perspective of Jackson’s behavior in Neverland Ranch to intimate details of his controversial death, fans will see it all play out in front of their eyes for the first time.
Actors Chad L. Coleman and Sam Adegoke play Jackson’s bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard, whose memories and testimonies largely contributed to the film’s source novel. Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who supplied Jackson the propofol that ultimately killed him, is played by Ken Colquitt.
