Would Danny Tanner approve of this?
On Monday, December 21st, a new video featuring the leading ladies of Fuller House showed us a wilder side of the Tanner sisters and Kimmy Gibbler. Although the Netflix reboot is all about reviving ’90s nostalgia, perhaps it will also be receiving a 21st century update (if this video is any indication). In the new teaser, D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy did their own version of the infamous dance to rapper Silentó‘s hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).” Who knew the ladies of Girard Street could get down like this?
While Candance Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin were mostly in sync, Andrea Barber stayed true to her quirky character, Kimmy, and was all over the place. Well, Kimmy always did things her own way, and that’s what made her so funny!
We also know that Stephanie’s still got her killer dance moves. Remember this?
The only thing missing from this awesome video is Michelle Tanner. She would’ve undoubtedly stolen the spotlight with her cuteness or interrupted the ladies’ dance routine with one of her snarky one-liners. We’re still holding out hope that Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen will change their minds and join their beloved on-screen family for this highly-anticipated revival. Even a single-episode appearance will suffice, ladies! In case you missed it, you can check out the first trailer for Fuller House here.
The series will premiere on February 26th, 2016 on Netflix.
