After years of rumors, Life-Size 2 is officially happening, and Tyra Banks couldn’t be more pleased.
On Wednesday, April 19, Freeform announced the long-awaited sequel was a go, meaning one should never lose hope that their favorite flick will get a follow-up. This one will come more than 17 years after the first film’s debut.
According to Deadline, in the second iteration, Banks will reprise her role as life-size doll Eve — with a few twists. The plot will reportedly center on Eve and a woman who “must learn to live and love again.” It’s described as a heartwarming TV movie slated to air in 2018 as part of the network’s holiday offering.
After the good news broke, Banks tweeted her own excitement:
“One word: LIFESIZE,” she wrote. “Oops…2 words. LIFESIZE 2.”
While a young Lindsay Lohan starred in the first Disney film, it’s as yet unclear who will star alongside Banks in the next chapter.
Banks has been bringing press to the project since 2015, when the fashion mogul told Variety, “There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much! I’m just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve.”
Just telling it like it is.
